5 Reasons to Visit Walt Disney World This Fall
It’s hard to believe that summer is winding down and fall will be here (officially) in a little over a month! At Walt Disney World, fall starts just a little bit earlier, though. As early as August 1, pumpkin decor starts to go up at Magic Kingdom and Halloween festivities officially begin on August 11! Interested in a fall vacation at Disney World? Here are 5 great reasons to visit between now and October 31:
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
This extra ticketed event provides extra spooky fun for the whole family on select nights between August 11 to Nov. 1, 2023. Get into Magic Kingdom park as early as 4:00 p.m. and enjoy all the park has to offer. At 7:00 p.m. the event officially starts and you can enjoy trick-or-treating, Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show, Disney Junior Jam dance party, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks and more. Fall Decorations and treats
Magic Kingdom is decked out in Fall decorations. Pumpkins, wreaths, leaves and more. What better way to get into the spirit of Fall. Enjoy festive treats at select locations around the parks!

Celebrate The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary at EPCOT starting September 22, 2023. This includes a meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie in their platinum attire in the Imagination pavilion. Spaceship Earth will light up with special colors and lights coordinated by the Disney100 anthem. Enjoy limited-time food and beverage locations during EPCOTs Food & Wine Festival and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. In addition to the celebration at EPCOT, Disney100 backdrops are located in all four theme parks and at Disney Springs as well as Disney100 Magic Shots and PhotoPass offerings available around Walt Disney World.
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival:
The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival takes place July 27 to November 18, 2023. During the festival enjoy food and beverages from around the world, Eat to the Beat Concert Series, exclusive festival merchandise, and three scavenger hunt options.
Cooler Temperatures:
The first official day of fall is September 23, This means the temperatures begin to slowly drop throughout the month of October, making this a great time to enjoy Walt Disney World without the intense heat.
