Walt Disney World with Babies & Toddlers

“They won’t remember it”. I can’t count how many times I’ve heard well-meaning family and friends repeat this phrase when someone is thinking about taking their young child or children to Walt Disney World. If you are wondering what age is best to visit Walt Disney World, I can tell you with confidence: Any age is a great age to visit Walt Disney World. And I’m not just saying that because I love Disney vacations and want everyone to experience them. Here are FIVE (count ‘em) reasons to visit Walt Disney World with kids under age 3.

5 Reasons to Visit Walt Disney World with Littles

  1. Kids under 3 are free.

Children under the age of 3 don’t need a park ticket or park pass reservation to get into the theme parks. Children under age 3 are required to be included on any dining reservations, but there is no cost for them to attend the reservation or character meal. Also, there is no cost for them to use Genie+. They can tag along with your Genie+ at no additional cost.

  2. The memories will last a lifetime. Most likely, your little one won’t remember their visit to Walt Disney World, but you will. You will remember the look on their face the first time they saw the fireworks or got to meet their favorite character. The look on their face is priceless and you will remember it forever.

  3. There are over 70 attractions with no height requirement. This means that your little one can enjoy many attractions across all 4 theme parks—no minimum height required! These attractions include popular rides and classics like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Frozen Ever After, Ratatouille, It’s a Small World, and more. You can even wear your little one on many rides in a carrier or wrap.

  4. Utilize Rider Swap. For rides that do have a height requirement, you can utilize rider swap. This system allows adults to take turns waiting outside select attractions with the little one without having to wait in the regular line twice.

  5. Walt Disney World caters to families with young children. Every theme park has a Baby Care Center for families with littles. These centers have diaper changing space, a nursing room, bottle warmers, family restaurant, and space to relax and decompress. Also, all of the baby care centers are staffed and have a small store to purchase any essential baby items.
